I have this theory about creativity.
Whatever your measure of “merit,” what you create will only be equal or inferior to the things you consume.
A genius is one who puts out more than they consume.
E.g. Ke$ha listens to Bob Dylan. If you only listened to Ke$ha you’d probably make something on the level of Rebecca Black.
